Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Director of Marketing and Admissions who believes in Bloom’s mission to create compassionate creators and social innovators. You should fully understand what makes Bloom unique and why parents would select Bloom from a wide range of other schooling options in Hong Kong. You have a long track record of marketing and admissions success at other schools (or similar enterprises). You are someone who parents can come to trust easily, and you are a great leader who can guide the marketing and admissions teams to do their very best work. You are comfortable engaging with parents and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, and you are a congenial professional who can influence others to act in service of the school’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing

  • Build and continuously enhance the Bloom Academy brands through high-impact, high-exposure integrated marketing and PR activities
  • Optimize marketing spend by effectively targeting the most relevant parents through selecting the optimal marketing channels and designing most impactful ads, thereby generating a healthy volume of cost-effective leads for both organizations
  • Ensure that all public communication reflects the vision, values, and quality of both brands
  • Engage both organizations’ board members, advisors, leaders, teachers, parents, and students to build an active outreach program that widens both organizations’ network and reputation in Hong Kong and beyond
  • Recruit and manage a Grade A marketing team and engage world-class agencies and freelancers when needed

Admissions

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that our recruitment and admissions process yields students who are the best fit for Bloom
  • Design effective engagement strategies, activities, and events to drive interested parents from inquiry to application to enrollment
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create effective assessments for the screening and selection of students
  • Identify and cultivate the most ideal partners, from children retail brands to kindergartens, for student recruitment
  • Manage the financial aid process to ensure fairness and transparency
  • Recruit and manage a Grade A admissions team that ensures all admission documents, tours, and assessment days are well-organized.

    • Provide great customer service to parents and handle problems and concerns with sensitivity and tact
    • Confidently and competently communicate orally and in writing with parents, colleagues, and others

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Native fluency in English
  • Demonstrated marketing and admissions results and excellence
  • Satisfactory criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.A. or higher qualification
  • Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin
