AIA Carnival Literacy Month Showcase
AIA Carnival Literacy Month Showcase
What a spectacular way to wrap up Literacy Month at Bloom! 🎉 Our campus was filled with music, rhythm, and scientific wonder as our students took to the stage at the AIA Carnival, transforming their reading journeys into a vibrant live showcase.
The celebration began with our youngest learners in Grade 1, who brought the inspiring story of Ada’s Violin to life by rocking the house with recycled castanets during a high-energy performance of "We Will Rock You." 🔊 This spirit of sustainability continued with Grade 2, as they explored the history of beat-making in Once Upon A Rhythm and performed original rhythms using their own handmade, upcycled instruments. 🌍

The focus then shifted to the intersection of art and innovation in Grade 3, where students created beautiful melodies on their very own "paper pianos," mirroring the magic found in their book study. 🎹 Grade 4 took us behind the scenes of music by presenting a fascinating deep dive into the science of sound, teaching us how the vibrations we hear every day are formed.

Grade 5 combined literature with interactive fun and modern culture by challenging the entire audience with a fast-paced Kahoot game centered on the life of Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda. 📚

Meanwhile, Grade 6 brought the house down with a powerful rap performance that honored the history and "roots" of the genre, showcasing lyrics they wrote themselves.
It has been an incredible month of growth for every Bloom scholar, proving how music can help share stories! 🎶
