Tencent WeTech Academy

We were thrilled to be part of Tencent’s ‘WeTech for Good’ initiative during the inauguration ceremony of the Tencent WeTech Academy and the launch of the 'Mini Program Global Innovation Challenge' at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Student representatives from both primary and secondary schools, including our students Henry, Tiff, and Rex, showcased our award-winning mini program "Pokemath" to the public.

In a further highlight, Henry participated in the 'Dialogue between the Financial Secretary and Youth', where he introduced "Pokemath" to Hong Kong’s Financial Secretary, Mr. Paul Chan. During this dialogue, he sought valuable insights on the use of AI in education, demonstrating our commitment to integrating technology for social good.

Launching Ideas at the Bloom Hackathon

The Bloom Hackathon served as an exciting launchpad for the Tencent Weixin Mini Program Competition. Building on the success of last year's event, this year's competition aimed to foster even greater innovation. We were delighted to have the Weixin Team join us, providing a talk on mini programs to both students and parents. Students embarked on a creative journey, ideating, designing, and developing innovative Mini Program ideas, while more experienced peers honed their coding skills using platforms like code.org, MIT App Inventor, and Weixin Mini Program.

Looking Ahead

As an Education Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Base School for Weixin Mini Program, Bloom is honored to participate in the WeChat ‘Global Mini Program Innovation Challenge’ for the third consecutive year. With the assistance of AI, we are eager to empower our students to design more impactful mini programs that contribute to social development.
