Upper Primary’s Exciting Learning Adventure at Mai Po
Upper Primary’s Exciting Learning Adventure at Mai Po
It was an exciting one for our upper primary students, who participated in engaging, interactive learning experiences run by WWF at Mai Po.
Grade 4 students embarked on a simulated migratory journey, discovering the importance of protecting wetland habitats along flyways for migratory birds like the Black-faced Spoonbill. 🌳

Our Grade 5 students explored the significance of local wetlands to both humans and wildlife through sensory activities and interactive games. 🦅 Meanwhile, Grade 6 students observed insects and other small wildlife species up close to understand how their bodies function and their complex relationships within the ecosystem.🐞
These visits are part of our school‘s commitment to fostering a deep, progressive connection with the environment. By participating in a different WWF program each year and visiting all WWF sites throughout their primary school years, our children build a strong foundation in conservation through engaging, age-appropriate learning. This connects directly to their classroom education and allows students to explore real-world environmental issues, deepening their understanding of conservation and sustainability.
